Man born 2/29/1964 thinks he’s 12

Lenny Maplethorpe has the distinction of being a leap year baby. Born February 29th, 1964, Maplethorpe is legally recognized as being 48 though today is only his 12th birthday.

“I’m 12, what can I say.” Maplethorpe told us. “I expect cake, presents, balloons, the works. For gifts I want a GI Joe doll, a pony, a cap gun, a Brandon Laird jersey…”

Maplethorpes parents are starting to get annoyed.

“It’s annoying.” Said his 72 year old mother Ethel. “He still lives at home, claims he’s 12. Won’t get a job and wants me to home school him. It’s ridiculous.”

“It’s my birthday, I’m a leap year baby now deal with it. I’m 12, I’m special. They make the worst month of the year a day longer once every four years and it’s for me! I also want Yankees tickets.”

Coincidentally, Maplethorpe will be asking Jenny Banks to the semi formal school dance.”

“I like older women, what can I say?”
